TryMyUI Homepage

This is the fourth article in the “How to make money testing websites’’ series. We’ve previously looked at how to make money testing websites on Userbrain, Userlytics, and Checkealos.

The similar website that we will consider in this guide is called TryMyUI.

TryMyUI is a similar web testing platform to Userbrain, Userlytics, and Checkealos where companies (website owners) onboard to get testers’ feedback about their websites, and website testers sign up to start getting paid for testing websites on the platform.

How it works is that companies set up web testing tasks on TryMyUI, and select the demographics they need for the test. Then users with matching demographics get notified to perform the web testing tasks on TryMyUI and finally get paid every Friday once the test has been approved by TryMyUI graders.

That being said, let’s see how to get started with making money by testing websites on TryMyUI.

How to sign up as a web tester on TryMyUI

  1. Head over to trymyui.com. Locate and click on the Get Paid to Test button.
  2. You’ll be prompted to the tester sign-up page where you will have to enter your full name, email, and password and confirm your password. NB: The email that you entered to signup must be the same as that of your PayPal account; this is where TryMyUI sends your payment.
  3. Verify your email by clicking the confirmation link sent to you.
  4. After your email has been verified, you’ll be directed to download the TryMyUI desktop recorder for Mac/PC or Smartphone. The purpose of this is to record a qualification test (not paid) that will involve you testing a sample website within 20 minutes. This recorder will also be used each time you are testing a new website on TryMyUI.

Important points to note testing websites on TryMyUI

The following points should be noted about testing websites for payment on TryMyUI:

  • Tests are made available on a first-come, first-served basis i.e. you must respond to each test as soon as possible upon notification as long as your demographics match the needed requirements.
  • You must perform each test in a quiet environment, speaking your thoughts aloud.
  • The TryMyUI recorder should be installed on your device and used for tests as it is the means of capturing and submitting your feedback on TryMyUI.
  • After each test, you need to provide written responses to a short wrap-up survey.
  • Alongside web testing, there are also app testing projects available on TryMyUI
  • Each test is estimated to last approximately 20 mins. The compensation for each approved test is $10 and payments are sent every Friday via PayPal.

There you go, be sure to start making more bucks testing websites on TryMyUI today.

This is my #48/365 article in 2022, I’m on a challenge to put up 365 articles here this year.
